Sticks and Stones

This series by Kitt Woodland is a visual exploration of a familiar old adage. The photographs draw attention to the new cultural awareness that words do have a significant impact on us. Internal and often unseen fractures caused by harrowing verbal statements are represented by careful arrangements of smooth stones and curled branches; temporary structures on the brink of falling apart.
